Default event lifetime
With an exchange date, the event is deleted 30 days after that date. The expiry is always capped at 180 days from creation. Without an exchange date, the event is deleted 60 days after creation. The event, participants, exclusions, draw, encrypted assignments and reveal credentials are hard-deleted after expiry.
Sessions and links expire sooner
Organizer sessions are limited to 30 days by default. Reveal sessions are limited to 12 hours by default. Organizers can revoke reveal links and delete an event before its scheduled expiry.
Deletion and operations
Deletion is implemented as a cascading D1 operation. Organizer and reveal access performs lazy cleanup, and MerryShuffle also runs a bounded daily maintenance job for expired events, sessions, tokens, rate-limit rows and aged security records. The service exposes only coarse maintenance readiness; it does not publish event identifiers, names, credentials or row-level details.
